About Us
KaiShinKai Seattle Dojo has been in existence since 2008, when our Sensei, Chris Eller relocated from Olympia and the Hombu dojo to Seattle. After several moves of venue, and the challenges of Covid-19, we have settled in with our sister dojo, Kaizen Kodenkan, in Edmonds, WA. We are dedicated to furthering the teachings of Dan Zan Ryu Jujitsu as set forth by our Founder,
Professor Seishiro Henry Okazaki

Our Sensei, Shihan Chris Eller
Sensei Chris
Eller began his training in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu in 2003 at the Kaishin Kai Dojo under Prof. Sue Jennings and is currently a 4th degree black belt (Yodan) in the art. He attended the 2013 Okugi under Prof. Tony Janovich and received the instructor title of Renshi with the accompanying Kaidensho. He also attended the 2023 Okugi and was awarded Shihan. He has been the primary instructor for Kaishin Kai Seattle Dojo since 2008 and has continued to introduce new people to Danzan Ryu.
Sensei Eller works as a Physical Therapist Assistant and incorporates his knowledge and expertise in body dynamics and healing into his classes. Off the mat, he is also a member of the vaudeville fire troupe Fire Light Circus, enjoys camping and the outdoors whenever he gets the opportunity, and enjoys rock climbing. He tries his best to ensure a fun and safe dojo for his students and to have a positive impact on his community.
